Road Maintenance Worker - Traffic Controller
Permanent, Full time
$53,429 to $57,179 per annum, plus industry allowance and 9.5% superannuation
The City of Ballarat’s Operations and Environment unit is seeking self-motivated individual to become part of the Road Maintenance team, in the delivery of quality services to the City of Ballarat.
Road Mainteanance is looking for an experienced traffic controller with a “can do” attidude to undertake traffic management duties assisting in the delivery of maintenance activities throughout the Ciyt of Ballarat. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the operation of a trailer mounted broom to undertake sweeping of rural intersections and other sweeping activities as required by the road maintenance team.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team and autonmonosly to achieve best maintenance outcomes throughout the City of Ballarat.
Key Selection Criteria
Experience in the development and implementation of traffic management plans
A minimum of two years’ experience within a Municipal or Civil Construction environment relative to traffic management and maintenance activities.
Trade certificate or completion of TAFE accredited training course relevant to the industry.
Ability to work in a team based environment and perform duties with minimal supervision
Practical experience in working within a team environment.
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
Current Worksite Traffic Management Certificate (mandatory)
Current Drivers Licence MR (mandatory)
