Deaf Access Officer
Temporary, Part time
$75,391 to $81,441 pro rata per annum plus 9.5% superannuation
Working across the City of Ballarat, Pyrenees, Golden Plains, Moorabool, Hepburn and Ararat municipalities, this 12 month temporary role will work with groups and individuals in the community to develop strategies to increase access to Council-run facilities and programs for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
Key Selection Criteria
A tertiary qualification in a community development / social welfare related discipline and / or extensive experience in the community development sector
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Understanding of the broad principles of community development
Experience working with people who are deaf or hard of hearing
Experience in project management
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area
