Annualised salary $61,297 per annum, inclusive of all allowances (plant & industry allowance, early start & annual leave loading, 2 x public holidays, overtime for 12 weeks) plus 9.5% superannuation
The City of Ballarat currently has a vacancy for a Cleaner/Driver within the Street Cleaning section to contribute to the cleanliness and presentation of our paths, tracks and streets for Ballarat's residents and visitors alike.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic person who enjoys working outdoors to join this section.
The successful applicant will be responsible for cleaning specific areas around the municipality in a safe and tidy manner and in accordance with established maintenance programs. There may also be opportunities to assist with other tasks required within the section.
Key Selection Criteria
A demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the requirements of cleansing works and similar activity.
A minimum of two years practical experience in cleansing activity in the municipal, private enterprise or contracting field.
A demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and completing work tasks.
Sound interpersonal skills to ensure the provision of customer service.
Possesses a Victorian Driver’s Licence is essential endorsed to HR standard as minimum.
Experience in relation to operation of required equipment and other associated minor plant is desirable
Demonstrated ability to work as member of a team.
Relevant knowledge and practice of OH&S procedures.
